ASUS, a global leader in the new digital era, is thrilled to announce its new range of Transformer and Ultrabook™ products at Computex 2012. ASUS' drive for persistent perfection and incredible product innovation results in a myriad of solutions that offer uncompromised performance along with an intuitive user experience.
ASUS shakes up the tablet market with the latest iteration of its Transformation concept as it presents the 11.6" ASUS Tablet 810 (Microsoft® Windows 8) and the 10.1" ASUS Tablet 600 (Microsoft® Windows RT). Pushing the boundaries of what is possible the ASUS Transformer Book, ASUS Transformer AiO and ASUS TAICHI are designed to surpass hardware limitations and users' imaginations, providing innovative features that enhance the user experience in imaginative ways that will transform your computing experience.
ASUS TAICHI — dual screens for an Ultrabook and a Multi-Touch Tablet in one
The ASUS TAICHI is a slim and stylish ultraportable with an astonishing key feature — both 11.6" and 13.3" models have a brilliant double-sided LED-backlit IPS/FHD display. With a touch screen on the outside of the lid, the TAICHI opens up a whole host of new mobile possibilities as it plays the role of both Ultrabook™ and Tablet.
With the lid open, the TAICHI is just like any Ultrabook™ computer, and comes complete with a full-size QWERTY backlit keyboard and track pad. With the lid closed, however, the TAICHI instantly becomes a multi-touch tablet computer with stylus support, bringing a degree of flexibility that has never before been experienced on an Ultrabook™. Better still, while they provide access to the same hardware, the two screens are completely independent of each other and can also be used simultaneously, which means the Taichi can be shared with two users for a host of innovative new applications.
The TAICHI is as light and thin as the ASUS ZENBOOK™ and delivers uncompromised mobile performance, with 3rd generation Intel® Core™ processors, fast SSD storage and dual band 802.11n Wi-Fi.
ASUS Transformer Book — the world's first convertible Ultrabook™
The ASUS Transformer Book is the world's first convertible Ultrabook™ — allowing users to instantly switch between an Ultrabook™ and a tablet by simply detaching the screen. It is aimed at users who prefer the portability of a multi-touch tablet computer for leisure, but still want access to a more traditional Windows-based ultrabook for productivity use.
The Transformer Book delivers performance and an excellent user experience thanks to the latest Intel® Core™ i7 processor* with discrete graphics, along with SSD and HDD storage, 4GB DDR3 dual channel RAM, and USB 3.0. It also features ASUS SonicMaster technology to deliver crystal-clear sound with deep rich bass through its integrated speakers. The Transformer Book sports dual cameras, with a HD front-facing camera and a 5MP rear-facing camera making it perfect for both photo-taking and video chats.
This lightweight ultraportable is available with an 11.6", 13" or 14" Full HD IPS display with multi-touch capabilities. This can be detached from the full-size QWERTY keyboard* to create a highly portable tablet to give the best of both mobile worlds.
ASUS Tablet 810 — the incredible Microsoft® Windows 8 tablet with mobile dock
The ASUS Tablet 810 (Windows 8) features a Next Generation Intel® Atom™ processor with 2GB RAM and a 64GB eMMC (embedded multimedia card) for user storage. An incredible Windows 8 experience makes it perfect for professional and personal use on the go. Key to the 810, however, is the supplied mobile dock that instantly transforms the tablet into a compact clamshell ultraportable, complete with full QWERTY keyboard, track pad, two USB ports and second battery for extended use away from a power socket.
The 11.6" display with 1366 x 768 resolution uses Super IPS+ technology to deliver superior visual clarity both indoors and out, and its 10-point multi-touch is complemented by Wacom digitizer stylus support for a more natural writing experience. Despite its compact dimensions and ultra-thin 8.7mm profile, the 810 still delivers superlative sound quality, thanks to ASUS SonicMaster technology. High-quality photographs can also be captured with the 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, along with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chats. It also features a built-in NFC sensor, enabling the device to easily sync with other NFC-enabled devices.
ASUS Tablet 600 — the incredible Windows® RT tablet with mobile dock
The ASUS Tablet 600 features the NVIDIA® Tegra® 3 quad-core processor and 12-core GPU for outstanding mobile graphics performance; it also has 2GB RAM and a 32GB eMMC for user storage. Operating on Windows RT, tablet users with media or social entertainment in mind will find a perfect partner in the 600.
The 600 also has the same innovative Transformer design as the 810 and is supplied with its own mobile dock that provides a QWERTY keyboard, track pad, USB port and second battery. Windows 8 apps, games and movies look incredible on the 600's 10.1" display with 1366 x 768 resolution and Super IPS+ technology, while ASUS SonicMaster technology ensures top-quality audio.
The 600 has the same high-quality front and rear cameras as the 810 too, making it an excellent all-round multimedia performer. It also features a built-in NFC sensor, enabling the device to easily sync with other NFC-enabled devices.
ASUS Transformer AiO — desktop PC and handheld tablet combined
Part tablet, part All-in-One PC, the Transformer AiO is an innovative device that can seamlessly switch between both, and features dual operating systems giving users the option of switching between Windows and Android depending on the situation.
Engineered to work with Windows 8, the Transformer AiO features an extended 18.4", 10-point touch LED-backlit display and has a compact, versatile design with height and tilt adjustments. It also features ASUS SonicMaster technology to deliver crystal-clear sound with deep rich bass through its integrated speakers.
The display is easily removed from its base station to become a wireless display that extends the range of the PC and allows users to continue with their work anywhere in the home. The same wireless display can also be converted into an Android-based 18.4" tablet with a press of a button. In addition, users can instantly access their data through the Android operating system without having to turn on the PC.
